I worked at a gun store for about five years, while I was in high school and college. Without a doubt, it was the most enjoyable job I've ever had -- I was getting paid to indulge in one of my favorite hobbies. It was a single-location, locally-owned business, so we didn't get a lot of the yahoos that tend to frequent the bigger chain stores. We had several regular customers that would stop by frequently to chat -- the owner of the store even kept some bottles of booze in the back so that we could share a drink with our regular customers at the end of the day.

The only downside is that I literally cashed my paychecks there at the store. The temptation of being around all of those great toys was too much, so I was constantly buying guns and gear.
