The Venezuelan Navy offshore patrol vessel Naiguata was sent to intercept a lowly cruise ship and force it into port. The navy vessel fired several shots across the bow and then started ramming the ship attempting to turn it to port.
Turns out the cruise ship was built for heavy ice with an extremely reinforced bow.
The cruise ship was undamaged while the navy ship sunk itself.
The cruise ship stayed in the area till help arrived and tried to offer aid but the navy ignored any further offers of help.
Butthurt I guess. Lol.
Cruise ship was 400 ft 8500 tons so not huge by cruise ship standards. Actual damage.
By patrol boat the mean small destroyer/littoral type ship built in 2009. Ouch. 1459 tons 260 ft long. Small crew though. Less than 75 so very small destroyerish I guess. Pic of sister ship, hard to get actual pic of sunk ship I guess.
