Seems to me the welfare so generously handed out, mainly by the Democratic Party, is slavery reformed. Note I did not speak of a race but rather a mentality is what I'm referring to.

Back then was only a half a century ago. Some of them are still kicking around--Senator Robert Byrd only died last year. For quite some time though, the Socialists and more recently full on Marxists have infiltrated the party, but in some places where the KKK is still around, I'd bet most of them still vote Democratic when their "white pride" allows it. I think there is some aryan party and they consider themselves Socialists.

The Republicans have become quite the party of appeasement lately. Ready to say and do just about anything just to hold a position in the Government.
