My wife went to the TGO year-end meet and said she's shoot more if she could "shoot cans off a fence rail". So where can we do that kind of thing? None of the ranges here allow it (that I know of).

I was thinking more along the lines of reactive steel targets that would auto-reset, but being able to setup cans and other inanimate objects would be okay.

I don't personally know anyone that's got a crapload of land to ask if we can use...

Im new to San Antonio, but some of the other ranges have the steel target bays(elm fork in Dallas does) maybe one of the San Antonio people would know of a range here that does. The steel targets are definetly fun, and eat up alot of ammo lol

Call up Blackhawk range on the South side of San Antonio. It's off of Old Pearsall and 1604. They will let you shoot most things, just call and ask them, but you will have to police up your cans/pumpkins, whatever.

I've got 3 old computer boxes with "innards" and 2 dead monitors that I would love to shoot the shi'ite out of. I might have to call Blackhawk and see what the regs would be. Might be a pain to clean up all the bits though...

Actually, I was thinking of building a "dueling tree". It wouldn't be hard to do if anyone has access to some steel and a welder. Would Bexar Comm let us use it???
