I buy from Starline but they only sell large primer .45 ACP. You have to check their site daily to see if it is available. Just got some 45-70.

    Somewhere in Texas!
Wideners has 45 ACP Armscor Brass Large Primer at $400/2000 pcs. I am not affiliated nor have I ever set myself up to reload, I have been buying supplies as I can. I do not know if this is a bad price in our current state.

They also have some Berry's Bullets in stock.

brass [45 ACP] small primer hard to find ?
I used to shoot at a range where many of the others didn't pick up their brass. I would spend 1/2 an hour picking it up each session even if it wasn't something I loaded. When I started loading 45 ACP, I loaded the small primer stuff to shoot at a range that didn't let you keep your brass.

I've had good luck with a few people on GunBroker who sell once fired. A decent batch of 38 super in one auction and a nice lot of matched headstamp 308. If you poke around you'll probably find it there. Although most 45 acp lots are gonna be mixed headstamp.

Small primer .45 (and even 10mm now) is a pain in the ass! I’ve heard several reasons why they do it, something about them being environmentally friendly or some other garbage. There is a place in Houston (they sell online) called Capital Cartridge that sells range pickup brass at decent prices. No choice on primer size though. For bullets, If you keep an eye on Berry’s website, they have blem’s on sale every once in a while for great prices, with free shipping and no tax.

I have been using Sagesreloading.com and Redeyereloading.com , they both have had the brass and bullets.

I've found most of mine for sale in different forums. I found three 100 round bags of new Starline .41magnum brass in a gunstore tucked behind two boxes of 215gr. JHP bullets so I bought it all. Guy gave me a great price since he was trying to clear out what didn't sell. I told him if he runs across more let me know and I would come and get it. He also had four 100 round bags of Starline 10mm that I picked up as well. It was a great day for a handloader like me.

I've always got 45 SPP brass, anything Vista is SP these days. A lot of commercial guys dump it because it has LP ringers in it, not worth blowing a primer stack over. Gunbroker is good or find a commercial guy processing, he will have plenty. Like this...

I have had a few days to look around, looks like there is a shortage of powder and primers again, When i put my presses away a few years ago there was a dry spell and shortly there after I manage to store enough for another dry run I swore never to get caught like that again.
Powder has been kept dry and I had a couple hundred 45acp that I loaded last they all shot good which tells me powder is fine.
man it felt good to smell that burnt powder again [smile]

I comb the desert floor on the weekends near the area I frequently shoot (west Texas).

Honestly, I haven't bought a piece of pistol brass in 10+ years since most EPT shooters tend to stay faithful to their spots. I know where most of the .40 can be found, and especially 9mm and .45 ACP. These shooters leave piles of brass out for anyone (especially me) to claim. Typically, most of the brass is in excellent condition and appears to never have been re-loaded. The other 10% gets scrapped and adds weight to my brass recycling bin. Once the bin is full, it produces around $70 of extra spending cash. It's a win-win for me out here.

Picker, what press are you using? I have an LNL and it's pretty simple to swap between LP and SP BUT I don't want to change in the middle of the road.

I do keep a small bag of SP 45 acp in case I wind up with more of it.
