I highly recommend a beginner shooting class. They cover a lot of things beginners need to know, then they get to shoot a variety of guns at the end of the class. My wife & her sister went & loved it. After that I took them shooting several times with some of my revolvers & pistols in .22, 380, 38 Special & 9mm then rented a few guns to try out. They said for fun the Taurus TX 22 was their favorite. They hated shooting my Ruger LCR 38 but said that's what they would carry because it never jammed.
