For the past year of so I've been looking for a 5" S&W model 625 or 5" Ruger Red Hawk in ..45 Colt.. So far, no luck.

    I don't have a dream gun but------A good 1911, S&W Model 19, Browning 725 Sporting, a Ruger 77 in .270, a S&W Model 17 or 18. Don't forget a Commander and a 10/22 and a 39A.

I dunno, Chico had a pretty successful record. OV-10s are cool as all heck, but they lack the punch of three 20mm Vulcans at the same time...even if two of them were podded and wobbly.

    I'm leaning towards practicality here.

Everyone in a 1500 mile radius knows when an F4 rips by. But no one will pay attention to the weird little prop plane until it lights up a house with a 20mm cannon or 4 M60's, and starts popping off Hydra 70 WAFARS like it's going out of style.

Well, if we're going for long-term concentration of fire in a fairly innocuous package, you really can't beat an AC-130. The current model not only has 30mm canons and a 105mm howitzer, but it can also launch Hellfires and SDB's.
