    Snagged an Edgar Sherman Designs quick adjust sling for the spare parts pistol. Lovely functional piece of kit made and assembled in the USA using USA sourced materials, I'll be adding these to a few more of my firearms.

    You need a smith that specializes in 1911s, and has the correct staking tools.
    I've seen a lot of smuts that claim to be able to do the front sights, and it normally turns out badly.
    There is a guy in SA that does good work on 1911s, shop name is 10 Ring Performance.

    sounds like sending it out to novak for dovetail cuts would be easier. Thank you for the knowledge, I appreciate it
