    'Top of the hill, Kerr County!
    My deceased father (of many years) came to Kerrville to visit and we went to Gibson's. He was wanting a gun to have around the house and ended up with a S&W 629 (Long barrel, etc.). My mother threw a fit until I told here it's too damn big to carry around. I think it had a 7 or 8 inch barrel, 44 mag. It's a cannon, for sure (44 mag.).

    I scratched my .44 magnum itch with a very used, but perfectly functional, Ruger Super Blackhawk with a 7.5” barrel.

    It is a hoot to shoot. One cylinder full of .44 magnums is plenty for me. But .44 Specials are easy and fun to shoot with it.

    Yes I do. There's a very nice Marlin JM 1895G on another forum that is calling my name.
