Looking at all the 223 range brass I have makes me feel the to order some kind of fancy trimmer.
That's what happened to me.

I need to start doing some research. That's what happened to me.
Definitely on my list to check out.Giraud Tri-way trimmer. You'll thank me later.
I just posted on this thread about the world's cheapest trimmer a month or so ago as well. It's ok but now I still have to go back and chamfer/deburr all the cases.i chucked the bit for my Lyman hand tool I to my drill though so it's not too bad. I just can't do more than about 100-150 before my hand starts cramping up.

I'm actually using mixed wheel weights I cast in a muffin tin. If anything I'd figure they should be closer to 100gr. I thought I read that Lee mold weights are based on pure lead and that wheel weights we're only ~92% lead.I'd have to guess you're using a lot of pure lead?
When's the last time you saw a bos of Norma 30-06 180 gr. Bullets for $4.19 a box. View attachment 135919

No I trash those. I don't mind using them but they make a lot of smoke and crap when I'm melting them so I just pitch them.Lee mold weights are based on wheel weight alloy as I recall. The more lead the heavier the bullet will weigh. The more antimony and/or tin the less. If the bullet comes out heavy you have an excess of lead.
If there were a lot of stick on wheel weights in the mix those are pretty much pure lead.
Technically you are correct. Go to the store and ask for bullets and they will usually show you boxes of loaded ammo. Can't count how many times I've gone to buy bullets and they show me loaded ammo. I've finally started asking for projectiles when wanting bullets for reloading. Just another example of "dumbing down" to the masses to get what I need.I'm pretty sure that's loaded ammo. Bullets are the pointy things on the end.
In the past, I never had to either. Nowadays a couple places I get reloading supplies from keep bullets and ammo behind the counter. Seems the "gimme dats" from the city were ripping them off too much.I've never had to ask for bullets. I just go to the reloading aisle and get them.
