Because 100 yard is rifle range not pistol range.
    LOL!

There are some cool caliber varations of that pistol.
I know. I have 5. I tend to prefer my Wichita, though.

Man, you can be funny when you want to. "100 yards is rifle range." Oh, my sides!

Seriously, though, if I had my way, I'd force every range owner in the country who won't make any exceptions for pistols past 25 or 50 yards to watch the following and then try to justify their silliness.

Now, to get back on topic, does the range we're patronizing prohibit pistols at 100 yards, absolutely without exception? The answer to that will impact what I pack for the trip.

I'm not sure who said it, we were talking competitions for the last October get together & i mentioned 9mm pistols @ 100. Someone posted no pistols @ 100... i imagine because the range is still open to the public while were there. If it was closed & TGT only... i'm sure it'd be no problem.

    It was Dawico....

I don't think the range will allow many of those ideas. The range is still open to the public too so that also limits our ability to take over an area.

Doubt they will let us shoot pistols at 100 yards. Might get 25 yards.

The 100 yard rifle range isn't set up for much more than just targets.

Dueling tree for handguns and 22s is probably about the limit. They do have two Texas stars though.

    Ben,
I'd think the bolt action pistols like you have could be shot @ 100 without the range getting up set. Those types of pistols are in a different category than most of our EDC/Home Protection type pistols & meant to be shot from the bench. I'm sure the looks youd be getting shooting those on the pistol range would be pretty funny.
