With your most accurate and precise AR 10 or AR 15 rifle, what sized group (5 shots) at 100 yards would you expect to shoot:

    1) When you’re having an average shooting day at the range

    2) When you’re one with the rifle and nailing every shot.

This seems like it’s getting obsessive.

Not targeting you personally, just the general subject. We’ve pretty much all shot ARs and been shooting them for a while. Shot with others who were shooting them. SBRs to heavy barrel varmint/target guns. Suddenly it seems like nobody remembers how their or their buddies shoot. Or the idiots at the range spraying 3 targets over.

Scope or iron sights? Offhand or prone? Raining? 110 degrees out? After running 2 miles?
Too many variables to realistically consider.
But in my humble opinion, if it's only 100 yards, even with iron sights, a stock AR off the rack will out perform the shooter.

I am a 1moa shooter on my best day. It gets worse as distance increases as I live in a windy area and am not skilled at reading wind. When zeroing I often go indoors off a bench and can get a little better than 1 moa, but those are test conditions not real world.

I don't have any picture at 100 but this is 3 shot group at 85 yards (farthest backstop at my back yard range)

BTW, this was with an air rifle.
