Hey now. Odessa can be nice and friendly. I visit almost every week. Wouldn't you rather do something about Dallas, Houston, Austin, San Antonio... before being rude to decent West Texas folk?
Just make you sure you are carrying.

Wonder how many people they had to interview to find one having panic attacks.

Overall it didn’t seem like it was making anyone in Odessa look bad. And 97° isn’t the end of the world in Texas.
    Ain't that the truth.

97 looks pretty good right now.

Well the temp has been higher than 97 during that time. I just stayed away from town when the water main broke. Of course it helps that we are on a well out where I am.

    In the woods...
At 9pm last night it was still 92° here in East Texas. Since September of last year (when I had my pond reworked), I've had less than 12" of rain.

The average annual rainfall for Angelina County is about 51" per year. That's a little over 4" a month, on average. It's painfully dry.

Last I heard after the water was back on, is that residents were told to boil it before consuming. I've drank Odessa city water before, I thought it should have been boiled first then.

True , however with the present heat conditions just fill a few jugs up & set them out in the sun for a bit.

That ought to kill anything crawling around in the water.
