    H2S is AKA sewer gas, swamp gas along with a few other names. It should be a warning to those who hunt at night.
    Just saying this hole in the cornfield was probably not a cistern and was probably full of shit..., hence a cesspool.

    It was a water storage cistern. 4ft dia. hole in the ground. The portion above ground had been knocked off level with the ground. About 30 ft. deep. It belled out as it went down. They had to pump out 20,000 gallons of water before they could enter. The corn had been cut down in a path straight to the opening.
    Wait for the whole story. The whole thing stinks.
