They must put the oil filter on with an impact driver. The last time I had to remove my filter with a screwdriver driven thru the filter. It's finger tight! What is so hard about that? I can go on and on. I am grateful I have a good jiffy lube on the corner and taking it in for service is easy but I have had them forget oil fill caps and dip sticks and them act stupid when I bring it back 10 minutes later!I dont dare take my truck to WM for oil change..... its been over 15 yrs since I last took a vehicle.... they are too slow.... they just waste my time.... I prefer to change the oil myself...... I get the satisfaction of a job well done in a timely manner....
Wouldn't be surprised if they don't know to oil the new filters gasket. They must put the oil filter on with an impact driver. The last time I had to remove my filter with a screwdriver driven thru the filter. It's finger tight!
took a Pontiac Fiero in there. Had a good laugh for, no joke, 20 min while they tried to find my engine.

Walmart is not the only place... Lone Star Chevrolet in Houston changed the oil in my G8. It came back 2 quarts low, as measured by the dipstick. All they had to do is use the figgin dipstick and they would have known. Oil change 101, check the dipstick when you think you are done!
They get old and stiff.
My first and last oil change story from a waltard . They changed the oil, vacuumed the carpet, checked the tires. All good, and then they filled the washer reservoir with anti freeze. Dorks.

I worked a W*M T&LE for several years, they will reimburse for repairs.

No, they won't... Had a ford ranger years ago that I took into a rip me off mart to have the oil changed, they took only 12 mins to do the the entire serviceg Supposed to check and top off all fluids as well.. So 1200 miles later the trans craps out... They send down a "independent" to check it out.. I had three separate mechanics look at it.. Results, there was an extremely slow leak, which would have been fine had all fluids been topped properly.. They didn't give me the service I paid for.. Then told me to take a hike.. I learned he hard way to stay away.. I shop Target.. I take my truck to a shop, it's not cost effective for me to change my own oil.. The end..
Thats kind of hard pressed to blame on an oil change shop. IMO
Had they done their job, each mechanic I talked to said it would have made it to the next oil change just fine, it was that minor.. But since it had gone too many miles it was enough to kill it.. Just saying, I paid for a service I didn't get, and it cost me big in the end..
