The cause of the problem us that the guy frequently walked the same places, set up a routine that could be followed, and didn't practice enough situational awareness. A working knowledge of pistol disarms may have been helpful as well.

...and in other news, a whole shitload of people were murdered, assaulted, and/or raped yesterday because they had NO means of protection or training against those who would do them harm.

Criminals will ALWAYS commit criminal acts! The only sane choice is to allow citizens to have the means to defend themselves. Every once in a while, something like this is gonna happen. HELL - even some cops have had their weapons taken away!

But, as usual, the anti-gun agenda saw a story that they could stir more fear against law abiding citizens with.
