I love HK but I feel like most of their more recent polymer handguns are not great. Ive owned the vp9 and the p30l. I felt the grip texture was not aggressive enough on both

If you want HK I would get a usp expert

Hi Folks,

I have some money burning a hole in my pocket and am at a loss on how to spend it. Looking for suggestions on how to do so. Realistically, I'm looking for something of a safe queen and an ocassional range shooter. Budget is anywhere around $1,000 - $1,200.

I've had my fair share of 1911s, striker fired polymer pistols, etc. I even have some other safe queens such as a Desert Eagle .50, Sig P226 Stainless Elite, a number of Colt 1911s and a Python. A gap that I have in my collection is a modern shooter .


Do Not Wants

• Will not be carried
• Striker Fired Polymer Frame (Glocks, M&Ps, etc.)
• Micro-carry or sub compact
• .40 S&W
• Don't want junk

Wants

• Handgun
• Something different (maybe even impractical to a small degree)
• Visually Appealing - Nice machining, factory cerakote, etc.
• Full size or Compact
• Optics ready (I'll likely put a red dot on it)
• Relatively high capacity
• 9mm, or maybe 45

Items already considerations

• Springfield Armory Emissary
• H&K VP9 (yes, I know this is striker fired polymer pistol, but I looked at it)
• Sig P210

Had to look that one up. I ain't mad at it. Basically Turkish aluminum framed Glock clone priced at $350.
