I have a cousin who grew up in Venus. Quiet little town, not much there(although some scenes in "Slingblade were filmed there).

25 minutes south of I-20 headed South of Dallas. We used to play them in football. The Venus Penises we called them.

When my daughter and family lived in Mansfield we went through Venus quite often going to visit them. Appeared to be out in the middle of nowhere (not necessarily a bad thing) but the trucks on Hwy 67 were overwhelming. Bumper to bumper, blowin' and goin' and downright dangerous most hours of the day and part of the night!

Venus because .....

Just like the northern part of the greater Dallas area, the metropolitan ooze is moving down 67 just like it has down 377 towards Granbury.

In the last 10 years, Alvarado has grown to amazing proportions as has Midlothian. Its just a matter of time for Venus ...

I recall not too long ago when Crowely, Mansfield, Burleson, Midlothian were all small, quiet, rural towns.

Just got back from shooting our there. This guy has some land and will let you shoot for $30/year. When we got there they were wrapping up a CHL class. They must have just started doing that there. Anyway, I have the guy's number. PM me if you need it.

100 million would be ideal, but I'll probably settle for less. Depending on the circumstances, I might even entertain owner financing. Shoot me a PM if you're really interested.
