…That said, there always has been a lot of diddling going on....
This is true; big blue only cares in two instances; 1)one is signing the O/EPR of the other, and 2)when it becomes known and is substantiated. It doesn’t have to be publicly known, but let’s say the diddle-ee’s spouse finds out about it (or was even actively participating) and then give photos to the command. Or a SARC/SHARP/whatever the hell they call it accusation is made.

Those are the things that put good order and discipline at risk.

Same in every branch. banging a subordinate, stealing from enlisted (usually for using money for pimping the Officers nest) or just STUPID decisions.
All the above happen fairly often.

This sounds like a hit job. Nobody gets fired right before their CoC unless the powers that be want him gone from the force forever. Don't be surprised if they try to keep his retirement. This was done to humiliate him and completely destroy his career. Bet he's not an admirer of the current admin. He was either banging somebody important or embarrassed somebody important.

True story time. No shit, there we were at an expeditionary air base in late 2002. The squadron’s deputy commander was the deployed commander. His deployed boss was also our home station boss.

She walked in on him in coitus with a very, very, junior subordinate officer. She gave him an immediate cease and desist order followed up by a no contact order. Due to the circumstances, he couldn’t be fired immediately as there wasn’t another eligible officer in theater at that point, but hi pending permanent command endorsement was rescinded.

Fast forward about three weeks and she walked him doing it again (with the same officer)and he was fired on the spot and sent home. and he was put in charge of the IG function until he decided to retire in lieu of being court-martial’d. He later divorced his wife and married the chick.

Apparently, this plane Jane was the golden piece of ass that rocked his world to oblivion.

Which reminds to note--for the sake of trivia--there is no forum user with the moniker "Hawk2A." I'm just sayin'...

Don't they know they're not supposed to be doing that?
    The temptation is real.
