Your are correct insanely high!!! I held a FFL for years after getting it upon turning 21 years old. Really wasn't anything to getting it the the applying a a small fee.Why are transfer fees so high these days? My usual lgs is $50 or $40 with ltc. Seems insane to me.

Ben, what is your zip code?AFAICT, no one has asked for over a year so I thought I'd refresh the question with a new thread.
I live on the north side, in Spring. My LGS has jumped their transfer fee to $50.
Can anyone recommend a nearby FFL for transfers?
TIA.

Probably because they have to store it and track it for a year waiting for the stamp to come through, unlike other items.ESAD on the southbound feeder at Rayford is $25.
What I really want to know is why is a suppressor transfer $100 everywhere. Takes up less space in a safe than a pistol.
Silencer shop transfers are free. If one of the FFLs on their list charge you a fee, let Silencer Shop know about itProbably because they have to store it and track it for a year waiting for the stamp to come through, unlike other items.
Right, so explain to me why a MG transfer costs the same amount as a Suppressor transfer. I can only fit a couple 240B’s in a safe, but I could pack in hundreds of suppressors. Why is it $100 for either?Probably because they have to store it and track it for a year waiting for the stamp to come through, unlike other items.
Ditto here. My guy in Kingwood charges me $20Mine was still $25 last time but in Kingwood.
