We were there a few weeks ago, stayed in an Airbnb at Canyon Lake. Stop by Luckenbach while you're there.

The whole area is nice. Just drive around but take a camera if you have one.

The Nimitz Museum is about Admiral Nimitz. Go there, but go to the Pacific War Museum next door too. And the other location.

Painted Churches off 90 and/or 10 west of Columbus. Oldest continuous Czech settlement in America is Panna Maria, south of Seguin.

Shiner Brewery, Chapline Distillery, Garrison Brothers distillery, Andalusia distillery.

Palmetto State Park, Goliad State Park, and the Fannin Memorial Monument.

All depends on what floats your boat.
