Is the war in Ukraine still going on?

Yeah. And things haven't gone the way I thought they would. I figured that by now the Russians would be mopping up. Instead, things are much more even than they once were.

Here's someone else who isn't above admitting that recent events have changed their perspective.

That is why I went with the surplus D-30. 122mm, 360 traverse, and depression of the tube is only limited over the trail legs.
