Burger joints used to mix in horse meat, now illegal. Used to be able to buy horse meat too, still legal but most don't like the texture. It's OK, just have to label it as such. Worked with a Chinaman once, asked him what he thought of Shitzu - as a pet but he said they tasted good. No I didn't talk to him much after that.
Don't know why someone would try to rescue a cat - they pretty much take care of themselves. Dogs aren't that smart!
