Look out boys and girls in the Hill Country! Wind here is currently out of the North at better than 15 mph. I'm sitting inside looking out the bay window watching it blow the cedar (technically Mountain Juniper) crap across the valley. Looks like smoke from a fire! This crap will clog your sinuses quicker than glue and saying you're not allergic to it means you've never had it blown in your face! Doesn't usually start until later on in January but it's definitely here now. :banghead:

Oh, and good luck to you folks that have to work outside in these bad areas ............................ wear face/nose protection!
And be sure to clean or replace your vehicle interior filter regularly. All that crap floats down your windshield and is sucked into the inside via the vehicle's "interior ventilation" system!

Not much a person can do other than move or stay inside as much as possible. Unfortunately some can't do either depending on their work, etc. I've been living with it here for 26 years and only had one bad bout with it ('cause I did something stupid) when I first moved here.

I'll go on record that I HATE cedar trees, not so much because of the allergies but what they do to my land and fences. When I go work on my place and I can cut, stack and burn 100 a day, that's a good day. So I'll do my part to help you all out with allergies!

I have been cutting on them when they poofed out white pollen all over me.. I remember that day, I got it all over me and it started making the area around my eyes and nose itch but that about all it did to me. My wife gave me a generic allergy tablet and it cleared up.

I'm glad it don't bother me any more than that
