I'm watching the DNC, merely to form my own opinion.
This party platform has apparently made it easier and more affordable for me to send my kids to college and afford healthcare.
I'd really like to know when I might realize this. I qualify for NO aid of any kind. I qualify for NO assistance whatsoever.
Yes, I fill out the forms. Apparently I am just too well off.(treading water)
My daughter has excellent grades, strong work ethic and letters of reccomendation from her former professors and employers.
Not one damn cent of help. Classmates free riding on the color of their skin with little chance of making a passing grade.

I'm changing the channel now before I get in real trouble.

I'm not too far off from "Government" retirement, a.k.a. Social Security & Medicare, and most likely will not see one red cent.

My personal IRA is down 40% since 2009, and my one other mutual fund is down 32%.

My home has taken a 25% hit in value.

All because of a 16T (Trillion Dollar Government Debt).

Four more years of this, and we all will be reduced to third-world poverty, and every thing we worked hard to build and save for our old age will be wiped out.

Plus, there will be no one left to pay back the money that was taken from us by force, and FDR and LBJ's promises will be proven to be lies.

Obama is not at all what most conservatives believe him to be: He is not a liberal progressive.

He is a dyed-in-the-wool anti-colonialist with a socialist bent clothed in the cloak of the Democrat party.

He is not incompetent: He is deliberately trying to force all Americans to pay reparations to the third world. And he is getting his way.

The Democrats think him to be one of them. He is not. He is using them as "useful idiots."

The drop in value of the house I can understand. But since the start of 2009, Treasury bonds, the S&P 500, the DJIA, NASDAQ and Russell 2K are all higher. What did you have in your IRA that lost 40% in the past 3 years?

Wait, what? It was brought up that ONLY vets should vote? Yea, as a vet I'm gonna call MAJOR bullshit on that. We have a hard enough problem getting people to vote as it is-no need to restrict that even more. Plus- there's plenty of fine, patriotic Americans out there who haven't served because either they physically can't, or they just have thier own way to help out thier country.

That sounds to me like a step in the direction of trying to force everyone to serve a minimum 4 year service.

I knew guys at the Community College i went to that got $3000 a semester just because of the color of their skin and never went to a single class. I asked them how they could keep getting the money when they were failing classes. I was told that they had to fail two semesters to lose the eligibility. After that if they passed one class that they paid for then they would be eligible again. So they would all take an online PE class over the summer and start collecting the grants again. They kept repeating this process over and over because the school couldn't stop them because they cant turn down a minority that applies for school.
