I visited the range after reading and hearing many great reviews and also to join my girlfriend's family for a shooting session that we had been talking about for some time. Top Gun was chosen since it is relatively central to us all. They had been there some time before I had and when I showed up, I was dealt with in a relatively timely manner. They seemed to be fairly busy, but they rung me up for the $15 range fee and I joined them on a lane. This is where one of their mistakes was made. I started shooting with them and about 15-20 minutes into the session, a young man comes out and tells us that our time is up. I thought, well, their time is up but I paid for an hour of shooting, so I'll just take the lane. I went into the main register area and spoke with a gentlemen who I thought would help solve the matter. I told him the situation about how I came to join them about 20 minutes ago and that their time was up, but I wanted to stay on their lane for the remainder of the time I purchased. He told me, "Well, that was your call." and started to speak to another customer, dismissing me. I told him, "Wait a minute. I paid for a full hour and you're telling me I can only have 20 minutes of it?" He again repeated that it was "my call." I asked him what my call was, exactly. He summarized what I had told him, I agreed. He then said, "You made that decision. The decision to join them on a lane which they had been on for some time." I agreed once more. He then went into some spiel about how the group I was joining occupied three lanes instead of the two they were originally supposed to be on. I knew nothing of this, as it happened before I had even left the house. I told him that anything about that was not my business with him. He then told me, "This is the way it's going to happen. I'll give you your extra 40 minutes, but you'll have to wait on the list." which he then pointed to showing about six to eight people ahead, "Or you can just leave." I told him, "I'm not going to wait on a list when everyone else is ready to go, just so you can give me the remaining time you did not specify when I was paying that I would not be able to have until I wait again. You did not tell me that they (the party I was with) only had 20 minutes remaining and did not ask if I still wanted to join them although it would cost me for an hour." Had the staff told me that, I would not have joined them until I spoke with them and affirmed that they would want to shoot again, an hour later. The man told me again about my two choices, "Wait on the list or just go", to which I responded again, "Oh, we're leaving, but that's not good enough. I want to speak to your manager. Where is your manager?" He looked dumbfounded as if he is the manager and told me, "I'm really busy," to which I interrupted with, "I'm not trying to make it difficult, I just want what I paid for or for me to get my money back." He then answered, "You want your money back?! You know what, ______, give him his money back!" Obviously flustered by my nuisance, he was speaking to another employee. Mind you, everything in quotations is verbatim. He was raising his arms and speaking to me in a tone that was not necessary. He treated me this way in front of all the people waiting in line. I accepted his terms, went back to the range, grabbed my things, and walked back to the counter to return the eye/ear protection and to collect my refund. BUSINESS MUST BE GOOD FOR THE SUPPOSED "MANAGER" TO TREAT A CUSTOMER THIS WAY! I WILL NOT BE COMING BACK, I WILL BE TELLING OTHERS ABOUT MY EXPERIENCE, AND I WILL BE POSTING THIS ON VARIOUS TEXAS GUN FORUMS IN HOPES OF SAVING THEM THE RUDE TREATMENT THE STAFF GIVES!
