After all the years of third gen S&W autos, Colt 1911 38 super, blackhawk, vaqueros, glocks, sigs, and Hk

    Boring wood stock rifles....

Admit it, guys.....that gold plated pistol in the case always seems to catch your eye....

Call it a bucket-list thing to do. Just once in life....Own a pimped out, gold bling bling, straight gangsta....handgun

It'll give the excuse to say, "Honkey plez, my shits custom"....as you whip out a TiN plated sidearm.

    Hell yeah

The place I found, been plating for 20years....in damn california.

$95 to do the slide. $15 for small parts. Environmental fee $7. Three day turn around.

I gotta get new roll pins. Freaking germans use some fancy jobs that are one time use only. $2.95 each. Itll take two.

Ill polish the slide myself. Its fairly smooth. Start with 400grit. End with 800-1000 grit. Touch it up lightly ( so the edges don't wash out) to a buffer pad on the grinder. Send her off.

    Heres the place I found:

What gets me, is its another $95 to do the barrel. Same as the slide thats three times as much metal. Im Not doing that....

Maybe they take special precautions to make sure that nothing gets into the barrel or chamber, so those materials and labor might account for difference in areas of metal covered vs. price. Or is everything covered???

Idk. Look at the cylinder price. Figure that would be a pain. Its $45 bucks for that.

This is from their photo gallery. Tiger strips. Looks like foam of some sort.
