The State of Connecticut is introducing a new bill which will criminalize individuals who buy gold, silver or other jewelry and then resell it without a license. Each and every gold or silver transaction between private Citizens must now be documented with the state. In fact, you will be deemed a Class D felon in Connecticut if you fail to do so.

Sounds like they are trying to build a database of precious metals buyers now, possibly for future confiscation ala 1933. This is insane.

Hey, the president did this back in 1933 (?) when they made it illegal for people across the country to own gold. All of this with an executive order. Also, when Obamacare (maybe it was that financial reform BS, I forget) passed, there was a section that every transaction over $600 required a 1099 between the people. So, I sell somebody here a TV or something innocuous (since we know how gun friendly they are) They have to provide me a 1099 with the cash. They later appealed that portion of the law.

All of these laws are to serve 2 nefarious purposes. The first is for control. The more they can sneak into our lives the more we will get used to and that will make it easier for them to introduce even more and more. until one day, we are happy we have the freedom to pick which toilet paper we use to wipe our own a$$e$. The second reason is to criminalize the people. Remember, the 4473 asks about crimes where the sentence would have been over a year. Even if you are found not guilty or even case dismissed, you still have to disclose it. Thus, you make the people criminals and make it illegal for more and more "criminals" to own guns and sooner of later, nobody can own guns. John Stossel once did a show where he said it stands that with all of the laws, BS and others, EVERY person in the country probably violates AT LEAST 3 laws a day. Some having such penalties as a small fine to others resulting in prison time.

This is disgusting. Just another way they are slowly defeating us. When have we had enough, and take our freedoms back? It's becoming too late.

The government does not like it when you hedge against it's choice of currency.

Only CT doesn't have it's own currency. My guess: They want to know who has the stockpiles of gold in case future confiscation is necessary, thus the licensing.

Yep. Courtesy of FDR and his taking us off the gold standard for basing our money. That way, the government could print more money than we had backing gold backing, as was in the case BEFORE this E.O.....which did absolutely NOTHING to halt or even slow down the Great Depression and had the added effect of extending said depression for longer than it would have been WITHOUT government intervention. Much like the 1920 - 1921 depression which was actually worse than the one in 1929, but President Wilson didn't interfere with the recovery.
