A lot can get passed in 20 days of a special session.....Every reference I can find deals with committee, sub-committee, Speaker Pro-Tem, or Parliamentarian. I’d be interested in the specific citation to learn more about vacating a House seat.
Same to hear the citation on appointment, since Art 3, Sec 13 of the state constitution specifically states legislative vacancies are filled by special election. Abbot has 20 days from the day the vacancy began to issue the writ of election.[/i]

I took a a your know that thing..I may be mistaken but didn't Biden already threaten with nukes? That is treason! Commie/Socialists Democrats have been incrementlly moving the US and some blue states destroying our Liberies for years but now have openly and rapidly trying a coup before We regain Constitutional control or our "We the People" federal government in 2022 & 2024. With aid of Leftist big Corps. we have already lost most of our 1st A and now there is wholesale attack on the 2nd S. Unless you want to salute this flag, stand firm for God and Country!

As much as I'd like to hang his whole cabinet for treason, Biden actually said that a rebellion would need F-15s and nukes to take on the government.I may be mistaken but didn't Biden already threaten with nukes? I'm not opposed to anything as long as it's legal, ethical and moral. When you stoop to cross those boundaries, and then try and justify or excuse your actions, just because the opposition does, IMO, that is doing the wrong thing, for the wrong reasons.
Quite a few members have proposed using such dirty tricks to win.
It's not. They never should have had those positions to begin with. Committee appointments are the perogative of the Speaker and he assign them however he wants. For whatever reason Texas Republicans insist on sharing power with Dem's, despite repeatedly being defecated on in return. So how is removing them from leadership positions in the House for abandoning their duty "lying, cheating, etc."?
Removing them from leadership positions is not "dirty tricks". They are the minority party and have been for more than two decades; they never should have been awarded these positions to begin with and I have no idea why the GOP perpetuates this nonsense.
Well, I do know why, it's because the GOP is spineless and useless, but that's a discussion for another day.
When Pelosi appoints, say, Devin Nunes to chair the House Judiciary committee then maybe I'll listen to claims that this is a "dirty trick". Until then, these people have no legitimate claim on leadership positions and need to be stripped of them yesterday.
Sure would like to be there when Fauci tries to justify himself.I'll stand by the comments I made in that post. Any person with moral and ethical fiber in their character will understand the meaning and the underlying message of that comment. Those that lack morals, or ethics, won't.
Without going down the path of religion too far, every one of us will have to stand before God and justify our every action and decision to Him.
Sure would like to be there when Fauci tries to justify himself.
Which begs the question....if the laws don't apply to some, do the laws apply at all?"Legal" is a bar that I've been debating with myself lately. The Fed Govt doesn't seem interested in enforcing laws, or only enforcing them selectively on their perceived enemies. In that context, does "legal" even make sense? The opposition surely doesn't believe so.
The Fed Govt has rapidly pushed themselves into a position where all their authority rests only on the power they can project. There is no objective standard for "laws" from them anymore.
And here I am waiting for a pin & weld job from my local gunsmith so I can adhere to the NFA. So clearly I still follow the laws, even if I don't believe in them.
YES!Secession is the answer.
Sure would like to be there when Fauci tries to justify himself.
I'd be headed to hell if I did that.Hmmmmmm, thinking. If I get there first can I petition God like a "Friend of the Court" down here and get in my 2 cents worth.
