It gets more interesting if you find out who paid for the trip to DC and the stay there. If a warrant is made on the escapees, there is aiding and abetting. In abdication, they are civies and who paid for the trip has to report AND Reps then are PAID lobbyists - problem? Not an official House sanctioned affair. Not registered? DC cops won't extradite? If law were really applied in this country anymore, deep dodo for them.
