Well, after getting more interested in rimfire... I picked up a ruger 10/22 carbine yesterday at academy. Pictures to come. What is everyones impression of the 10/22?

Ummm I own 3, one is stock, one "tactical" and one target. I don't like them due to their addictive nature... I am still looking for the next one to add to the collection.

They all shoot very well, are great for teaching others to shoot with. They can be customized endlessly and parts should be available well into the era where my grand kids are using them.

Great guns and you'll catch wallet slimming disease instantly with one! More mods and aftermarket goodies than even an AR ! Congrats !

Great rifles, had one for several years and gave it to my dad, plan to replace it with a target model someday. Never went aftermarket with mine other than a 30 rnd mag. light weight accurate and reliable.

    Converted my stock 1988-era 10-22 into a tack-driving machine.

Cost me more than an off-the-shelf AR in .223/5.56.

Now, I have a stock, barrel, and trigger group I have no use for.

Beware, it will grow into an addiction!

    Be well.

Yeah, I've spent more on the BS than the 10/22 initially... I love to rapid fire 25 rounds and blow a quarter size hole through the target, it's super fun!

BSA scope in this photo has been upgraded to a Nikon Prostaff...

Crap! Creating this thread is ALSO bad for my bank account.. those are so FINE looking 10/22's. I bought one because I heard they would eat through any ammo and that they were as accurate as a nail driver.
