If I ever decide to run for office I truly look forward to the questions about what I did when I was in my 20s. I will answer any questions with a simple “duh, of course” I would have a blast doing it, but I do not have enough reptile dna to even consider doing it.I wish I could run for office. There are a lot of things in my past that would be brought out to use against me, and I wouldn’t get elected by the populace.
Do I ever wish I could run! I sure would!
But what I am left to do is get the message out, and don’t shoot the messenger, kinda thing.
I actively vote. I have been writing to our Congress people, and Senators.
Other than that, not much else I can do.

Y’all, I just want to make you aware that there are a ton of Californians moving here.
Not only are they moving here, but some that have been here long enough are running for political offices, and bringing their political ideologies with them, as in leftist progressive mentality.
So, we once had a Red State, is slowly but surely being turned to a blue, socialist thinking left state.
Mark my words, we will be turned into another Colorado here within the next decade or so.
Plus with Shotgun Joe being Pres., our borders are going to be open to all sorts of wrong leftist thinking and cartels.

100% agreed. You should be more concerned with the liberals your schools are churning out.
We can also try to spread our interest in firearms and the Second Amendment. Over the last couple years a couple coworkers and I have taken several others out for their first shooting session and lo and behold they like it. Most have bought a firearm or three since then and have changed their tune from "why do you need them" to "They can't have mine!" While Texas is getting its share of liberals from here and there we need to work towards the young people coming in with them when we have the chance. Again most of the people that have come to shoot with us eventually bring their kids. Just my opinion though. No! Not do nothing! Vote, write your delegates! Get strong conservatives in office. Go actively vote.
That’s all we can do, unless others want to run for office.

It is ironic. Plus people who never shoot don't realize that it can be a great way to get outside and blow off stress. Target shooting involves calculations and estimations that are good for mental capacity. Plus the social aspect of having another group of people to interact with. I have a short range in my backyard a few friends have been able to come out and blow off steam without worrying about running afoul of anyone else in the process. You are absolutely right!
We should take them out, and have them experience the plus sides of shooting, target practice and the such.
My friend had told me, that the reason gun sales are so prevalent in his area is because of the anti-gunners buying firearms because of people threatening them to steal all of their toilet paper, water, and food.
Isn't it ironic that those who were bitching about not enough gun control laws on the books, are some of the ones out there right now buying a firearm to protect themselves and their property?
The only thing gun control laws do is make law abiding citizens targets to criminals and drug cartels.
I.E. Chicago, for one.

Just saw this video while at lunch.
Abbott seems to be on board, but we'll see with all the appointments of dems to chair positions.
So I watched it further, and the biggest takeaway I got was that if it gets 2/3 vote, it goes into effect immediately, and it doesn't get the votes. It still goes into law on Sep 1.
If blue leftist states can get away with sanctuary state status in regards to disobeying federal immigration laws, then Texas certainly can declare itself a 2A Sanctuary State to fight potential unconstitutional federal gun control laws.
Also seems Gov. Abbot and others are preparing to fight the new leftist administration on any unconstitutional laws that encroach on state rights. Come and Take It.

But...
That’s not how it works.
Well, Arizona Republicans have introduced a bill called the "Second Amendment Firearms Freedom Act" that would prohibit the use of state resources to enforce any federal law or executive rule that runs contrary to the right to bear arms; passage of this would make AZ the fifth state become a "Second Amendment sanctuary state" (Alaska, Idaho, Kansas, Wyoming).
Here is the actual bill HB 2111

So like the north in 1861 you don't understand the 10th amendment?
Call...And tell them you will do everything in your power to support their opponent in the next primary. Key phrase there.I'd write too, but my person is a Democrat, doesn't read, and pretty much worthless.
So I've got that going for me....
