Here in N.E.San Antonio, we loose power just about every time we get rain.
I think they are using masking tape to connect the wires.
Masking tape or the cheap electrical tape from Harbor Freight.

Well, I'm very sorry you are not capable of understanding it then.
HAHAHA HAHAHAWould it please you if they put a little generator on Abbotts's chair so he could help out when he has time?
We just need more electric cars.... that will solve the problem.
Correct. And now, that socialist Greg Casar is introducing legislation to force Texas to link in with the national power grids. The Federal government closed down at least three electrical generation plants in Texas in the last twenty years. They refuse to allow nuclear plants to be built. The Fed has been pushing solar and wind generation, but neither is reliable. solar is only during the day and when not clouded up. Wind, is hit or miss, west Texas does have fairly regular winds, but the transmission of that electricity requires huge power transmission stations, amazing electrical transformers and lines to get that electricity to where it is needed.Excellent response. Whoever, it doesn’t change the fact that you are completely ignorant of the subject you are discussing.
The fact that you are channeling your anger towards Abbott when the root cause is at the federal level shows just how ignorant you are. Federal interference has driven up the cost of planning, building, and operating gas power plants while subsidies to unreliable sources allow them to undercut reliable energy sources.
And it gets worse when factoring the roadblocks in place for clean nuclear power.
All in all, you are barking up the wrong tree in the worst way, and doubling down only makes you look more foolish.
Now we will tackle why gravity is a residual effect of the strong nuclear force, but only in the realm of a Grand Unified Theory.I hope the other Electrical Engineers on TGT are enjoying this “intellectual” discussion as much as I am.
It reminds me of a famous paraphrase “If competence is a virtue, you must be a whor*”.
When is the last time more government solved a problem it created?Abbott should be working with energy providers and the legislature to come up with a plan to solve this problem long term. If no new power can be developed then the legislature should pass laws that restrict the construction of new buildings that will require additional energy to power, heat and cool.
Every day I see huge new commercial buildings and massive apartment complex that are under construction and those all will increase energy demand. There should be no permits issued for these things until the energy problem is solved.
Do we have to be engineers to enjoy it?I hope the other Electrical Engineers on TGT are enjoying this “intellectual” discussion as much as I am.

Oh, I know this one!!When is the last time more government solved a problem it created?
Actually, they are.Yea, cause all you lektrical enganears must really be smart !
Not at all!Do we have to be engineers to enjoy it?
Agree. Symposium at the next Axxe wing ding? Now we will tackle why gravity is a residual effect of the strong nuclear force, but only in the realm of a Grand Unified Theory.
Peak demand and peak generation coincide. .FWIW, Tuesday I will be commissioning and bringing a new 134MW solar field onto the ERCOT grid.
Maybe that will help a tiny bit.
