I was at Saylers in Portland on business (http://www.saylers.com/steak-challenge.html) when someone at our table took the challenge. It was the worst cut of meat I ever saw, was undercooked (had to send it back 3 times) and generally disgusting.

I can see that. The larger the cut of meat, the harder it is to cook well from outside to inside the way someone expects a 1/2" or 1" steak.

Used to stop there since it's halfway between central TX and our place in CO. Got a few photos in the big rocking chair. That place is full of all sorts of surprises, for sure.

I learned how to make fried donuts in the Boy Scouts. It was very cold camping trip. First thing that morning. The Scout Master busted out the cast iron frying pan. Used the biscuits out the can. Fried on both sides and hooked up with sugar.

    Yep, Damn good times.
Thats how my made em. Also how Tex Mex folks make soapapillas.

I learned how to cook “sm-acos” at scouts.

    Smore tacos.

Cast iron skillet. Tortilla with chocolate chips and mini marshmallows and fold it over to cook on both sides. You’re welcome.

Most aren't good, thank goodness. That helps me stay away. But the good ones are something special.
We have 3 or 4 around here usually 1 is good and the rest are nasty/gross
The good one now is the newest one.
I eat a high protein diet and I can go in there and clean house eating the chicken and beef that isn’t breaded or coated in sugar.
The best thing is the 20 year old Chinese workers who can’t speak English, but there names are Robert, Susan and Steve

If a good one of those was near me, I'd have to either move or I'd weigh 700 pounds. Those fried biscuits are to die for.

No boofit, order from the menu with no MSG. It's been a while so I can't remember if they sugar the biscuits but you could always ask for them w/o it.

I’ll admit me and the Mrs stopped there about 8 years ago passing through headed to the mountains. We both got a ribeye and if I recall correctly it was good. Hell I’d go back.
