That was stupid!
A local junkyard got some armored vans a while back. I got one of the side windows out of it to shoot at. I tell ya folks, dont ever trust that shit. I was shooting it with a .22 from 25 yards and the rounds almost went all the way through. I shot it with 556 SS109 and blowed all the way through. That crap doesnt work.

I have seen glass take hits that the metal around it did not...

I've seen a demo in San Antonio by a company that builds armored cars for those with the cash. About 10 AR15 .223 rounds did not penetrate a single glass. I'd say it works one hell of a lot better than holding up your hand.

i have a piece of BP glass hanging in my office that took several rounds and is still intact on the backside...it is about the only "art" i bothered to hang on my walls.

I really like that one because it shows that "knock-down" is a total myth. Guy takes a .308 from a FAL at contact distance while he's standing on one foot.
