Thank you for posting your story and the pictures of the gun are truly professional. This gun looks like it could function for many more years and this post reminded me that revolvers are far from being obsolete.
The advantages of revolvers over semi-autos deserve to be repeated for the millionth time. Revolvers are one piece with a relatively thick cylinder attached to the frame, while the pistol requires insertion of a fragile magazine. Revolvers are beautiful and simple Maybe calling it “fragile” is a little too much, but a magazine is susceptible to having its “thin” feeding lips bent or the spring becoming weak from constant compression. These can lead to malfunctions and a semi-auto without a magazine is a one-shot deal.
