The US never had any interest in the program.

We had the M4. With plastic handguards and an aimpoint or acog, it's only a lb heavier than a P90 and vastly more effective

They issued P90s to one particular unit within AFSOC...

Although they also often used MP5K's, M-4s and M-249s...and sometimes alien zat guns.

Most people sleep better lying on their left side.

This is a proven fact, with no explanation.
    I have a hypothesis though.

Most people are right handed and are more comfortable with their right hand free.
Free to grab a gun, sword, knife, club, etc.

    I could be wrong.
I sleep on my stomach mostly but if I wake up on my side it's my right side and I'm right handed.

Maybe it's because I'm left eye dominant.
Or because I "hang" to the right so my center of gravity is lower that way.
I also have a metal rod in my right humerus.
Maybe I just subconsciously face north.
My bathroom is that direction so maybe I'm facing the closest water source.
Maybe it's because I part my hair that direction.

    Hmmm

Air Force to start weapons training in basic again? What the devil?
Only about two days, during basic at Lackland, spent training with and shooting an M16 in 1976. (Hey.. I got a marksman ribbon :) )

Never saw nor touched a rifle again while in the USAF.

We did have ‘war skill’ training where we all learned a second job (my primary was computers)… they taught me how to operate heavy equipment (dozers, road graders, etc.) while at my duty station at Eglin AFB.

I can tell you from experience that simply walking down one of those stairwells is stressful as hell - I kept wondering how many people going about their daily business in the castle mis-stepped and fell to a painful death down that spiraling pit of doom. And I had the advantage of a modern handrail having been installed for safety as I filed down the stair at Urquhart Castle.

"Researchers at Stanford University detail, in the Sept. 6 issue of the journal Science, how they were able to see through the skin of live mice by applying a mixture of water and tartrazine, a bright yellow-orange food coloring used in Doritos and other foods..."

Yum. Let me rush out and buy a crapton of that...
