I have no dietary restrictions and since I'm only there for a short time, I'd like to make it worth my while. Where's the best eats?

Seems like an easy question...BUT, what meal are we talking? What type of food? Price range? General location?

    Dang...now you have me thinking...

I'd like to keep the price to 25$ / person or less. So that should have most of them. I'll be there around lunchtime. I don't really care what food it is, so long as it's good. I'll be in the very north of Austin Area like Pflugerville and Round Rock. I guess that makes a difference.

Threadgill's on Lamar or Riverside for home style cooking. Hoover's on Manor Road is another home style place.

To me Salt Lick has become way too generic.

Spring Hill Catfish on Pecan in Pflugerville is pretty good.

Taqueria Arandinas on RM 620 by the Round Rock High School is excellent.

Hooty's Subs in the same shopping center is really great

Salt Lick wasn't the best BBQ I ever had. But when you factor in the atmosphere it is a place I would recommend.

I'm at salt lick now. It's a big place! Seems pretty promising. I ordered the Rancher #YOLO. I asked the waitress for jalapeños with onions and pickles. She's said, "two jalepños?" and then I asked her, are tey grilled, pickled or fresh?" She said "yes?". I said, "I'll take two." then I thought I'd pick on her a bit more by asking what kind of robs they were. She said they were ribs lol.
