I know not everyone is a fan, but I am, and think they make some very usable knives.

Picked up this Delica 4 with the ZDP-189 steel blade. Very hard steel and a nice knife for the price I think.

I had a really nice one with the metal handle and let a friend talk me out of it. Damnit. It's been more than 10 years and everytime I try to make him give it back to me, he just laughs and laughs. Spiderco are very nice knives.

I own several Spyderco knifes all all have been very good knifes in a reasonable price range.
    Several, well maybe 15.

I know the brand is great; I've had quite a few.

I'm wondering about the steel. How's the ZDP-189 doing for you???

I've been carrying the Delca for a little while, and have cut a few things with it, but not enough to make a judgment. A few boxes and some cord. It is still sharp enough to shave the hairs on my arm. I like it for a relatively inexpensive folder.

my first pocket knife was a spyderco mariner. that blade was fantastic on cutting the bands off the pallets and shrink wrap. then had a spur, native, calypso. always and still do want to pick up a civillian, ever since i saw it in the movie "Bad Boys".

I have carried a spyderco for 14 yrs. Working in Alaska and at times used two. I perfer the serrated blades since they keep sharp over heavy use. Also used a smooth and parcially serrated blade for delicate work. Cut mostly heavy strapping and canvas tie downs. Outstanding and Spyderco reamains my favorite.

I know this thread is a little old, but how do you like the ZDP?

I always preferred Benchmade over the SpyderCo designs, but they're slowly growing on me. I've never used the ZDP but seems like a great steel. Am thinking about *maybe* picking one up.
