    Texas!
WHAT A TANGLED WEB HAS BEEN WOVEN.

Some of you will recall that the favorite conspiracy theory among Democrats was Bush knowing about 9/11 in advance and using it to further his own agenda. Well here's one right back at 'em. And, it makes a hell of a lot more sense!

    The Gulf Smells

    1. Four weeks before the BP blowout, Obama builds an alibi ---"I am opening offshore drilling in all the Coastal U.S." Goldman Sachs dumps nearly all of its stock (40%+) in BP, a profitable winner. Days before, they dump the rest.

    2. BP ignores the advice of all the drilling contractors on making the well safe. British Petroleum had a manager directing drilling who had never been on an offshore rig before and purposefully ignored all safety warnings. BP ignores TransOceanic warnings about a problem with the blowout preventer. BP ignores repeated warnings on numerous problems from numerous sub-contractors.

    3. The well explodes under suspicious circumstances, but BP does nothing immediately to control it. Why? And the Dutch offer to have it controlled in 48 hours. They are ignored.

    4. Obama sacks his National Intelligence Director (a Navy Admiral) who cannot comment on intelligence or the reasons he was sacked because of Federal Laws.

    5. BP top-kills the well but fails as was predicted by numerous oil professionals causing downhole damage to the well which has caused a massive pollution of the southern U.S. The way they bungled everything, the Gulf will be dead for decades!

    6. Obama now declares ALL drilling suspended in the Gulf and makes numerous PR trips to the Gulf to look as though he is outraged.

    7. John Podesta is Obama's man that built his cabinet and all his Czars.

    8. John Podesta is also head of George Soros' Center for American Progress (a socialist organization dedicated to killing capitalism in America and building, according to Soros, "A New World Order"). John Podesta's brother is the lead lobbyist for British Petroleum, whose services are now in huge demand.

9.Soros was a major contr ibutor to Obama's campaign.

    10. Soros invested $900 million in Petrobras, the Brazilian government controlled oil company that plans on drilling offshore in Brazil , yet cannot get the deepwater rigs operating in the Gulf.

    11. Days after Soros' investment, Obama grants $2 billion of U.S. taxpayer's dollars to Petrobras to drill offshore in Brazil ....the company nets over $15 Billion annually.

    12. U.S. drilling companies must do something with their now idled rigs and are planning on moving them off to South America ---- to Petrobras which will supply the oil to the U.S. as an import.

    13. Obama gives a patsy White House Oval Office speech on the disaster but, also during the speech, he states the need for Carbon Taxes.....Cap and Trade!

    14. The carbon tax exchange will be based in, you guessed it, Chicago ... and called the CCX...The CHICAGO Climate Exchange

The Joyce Foundation --A private U.S. foundation which provides funding and support to initiatives focusing on education, environment and employment in the Great Lakes region. The Joyce Foundation was established in 1948 by Beatrice Joyce Kean of Chicago . Since its inception, the foundation has made grants of more than $600 million. Some of those grants include $1.1 million to Richard Sandor in 2000-2001 to create the Chicago Climate Exchange. Former Board of Directors' members include President Barack Obama (1994-2002) and Valerie Jarrett, his top adviser.

Who will benefit from the Chicago Climate Exchange? You guessed it...Obama and his buddies, Goldman Sachs and the Chicago crew.

Who will benefit from Obama's shutdown of drilling in the Gulf? You guessed it...Obama and his buddy, George Soros

Who benefits from Obama sending $2 Billion of taxpayer dollars to a company that Nets $15 Billion per year? You guessed it...Obama and his buddies.

Who is Obama getting to again? You guessed it...American Citizens.

Barack Hussein Obama is intent on the total destruction of America . He does nothing to stop the Illegal invasion from Mexico, he does nothing to fix the banking problem, he does nothing to stop the blowout, he DOES NOTHING to stop the downfall of America while he plays golf, travels to Ohio for 10 minute speeches at a cost of $750,000, listens to Paul McCartney concerts, and goes to baseball games in NY. What do you expect from someone that never produced his birth certificate, has gone around the world apologizing for America 's past actions, and bowing to the head of the Muslim World.

You guys are just now figuring this one out? It was like so obvious from the getgo what was going on: We shot down an alien space craft and the military needed the area clear while they recovered the craft and bodies. Duh.......

In the weeks prior to the Deepwater Horizon catastrophe BP CEO Tony Hayward sold 1/3 of his BP shares, using the money to pay off his family mansion.
During those same few weeks Goldman Sachs shorted 44% of its BP holdings, while Wachovia and UBS sold 98% and 97% of their BP holdings.
CEO Tony Hayward made $4.5 million last year = $12,000 A DAY – even since the Deepwater explosion
Deepwater Horizon oil rig owner, Transocean, made a whopping $270 million off the explosion and oil leak.
Part of BP’s cost-benefit analysis for determining how well to build employee housing included a document comparing employees to the Three Little Pigs, ultimately determining that dead employees were worth more to the company than what the more expensive and safer housing would cost.
President Obama just appointed his THIRD Monsanto executive to a top Food/Ag position in US Government. If you want a better understanding of how Monsanto operates, rent the documentary Food, Inc.
Carl Casale, Director at Nalco (manufacturer of Corexit) is also EVP/CFO of Monsanto.
Rodney Chase, another Director at Nalco was previously Deputy Group Chief Executive at BP.
Despite much more efficient alternatives, BP defied EPA’s order to find a more suitable solution than Corexit.
While they could have been testing this better alternative, BP and USCG were ignoring it.
Scientific data points to the long-term ineffectiveness and damage to overall ecosystem from use of dispersants, demonstrating cases where nature fared far better when oil was left untreated by chemical dispersants.
Reams of data testify to the toxic nature of Corexit, including it’s hazardous impact on both wildlife and humans. And still clean up workers are not being provided masks or critical safety equipment for working around it. And The EPA has done no more than a mere suggestion that BP use alternative remedies. Google it. Too many links out there documenting this to list.
Corexit has NEVER been used in this quantity, at these depths. This is unprecedented – a giant science experiment we allow BP to conduct in our back yards.
This dispersant use may be a direct violation of federal law.
Last minute arguments after the rig exploded point to…. well, see for yourself.
Since 1990 BP and its employees have given $3.4 million to federal candidates. Their highest paid yet? Obama.
The MMS, the branch of government in place to oversee and regulate the oil industry actually considered themselves part of the oil industry. We now know that the MMS spent years accepting lavish gifts from the oil industry and doing drugs while on the taxpayer’s dime (all outlined in this Federal Report).
BP insists that CEO Tony Hayward has moved to improve its overall safety. If that’s so, let the record show it: Since 2007 BP has accounted for 97% of all serious safety violations in the industry (that’s compared with all other companies in the entire industry – COMBINED). Is that an improvement? I suppose it could actually be.
Whistleblower’s within BP were silenced, not only by BP, but by the DOJ, who shut down an important investigation and gave BP a “slap on the wrist”. The lead investigator, who had reams of evidence into the criminal nature of BP’s operations, has retired. This article is truly a MUST READ. This is investigative journalism at its finest.
In 2009 BP was fined $87M for “life-threatening safety failings” where 439 “willful and egregious” safety violations had been found at one of its Texas refineries. The reason for the fine? Not the original safety failing – but rather for failing to make agreed upon safety upgrades to the Texas refinery after the explosion and fire that killed 15 people. Is this progress according to Hayward?
BP is now sitting on another ticking time bomb in the Gulf of Mexico. The BP oil rig Atlantis is sitting in 7,000 feet of water, and is in violation of a host of safety regulations. The BP contractor who originally raised concerns about these violations had his contract terminated shortly after he alerted management to the rig’s lack of crucial engineering documents in late 2008. Improvements on safety?
The Deepwater Horizon itself had a lengthy history of safety violations. But really, at this point, did you need to be told that?
Today is the 46th day since this tragedy began. The clean up efforts along the Gulf Coast remain a fragmented, uncoordinated mess. No branch of the military has been called in to oversee and coordinate coastal wide clean up efforts – a perfect job for the Army. Our military is equipped to orchestrate the take down and re-assembly of a foreign country, but when our shores need protecting our leaders do not call on them. This may be the most baffling, and disturbing, fact of all.
UPDATE June 7: Damning account of evidence rig operators knew and warned BP repeatedly of the danger on Deepwater Horizon. Rig workers testify they were told by BP and supervisors to “cut corners”.
You might be inclined to think hefty penalties are forthcoming thanks to lawsuits, but you should consider this: more than half the federal judges in the coastal region have strong ties to the oil industry.
And more evidence the use of Corexit was planned by BP far in advance, against evidence that it ranks 16th on the list for effectiveness on Louisiana crude. “No toxicity studies have been conducted on this product.” Is it any wonder that the people are skeptical when EPA tries to assure them Corexit is not harmful?
UPDATE June 10: Okay this has to be added to this list. I’m a huge Warren Buffett fan but this fact is too closely related to omit. Last year Warren Buffett purchased 8.7 million shares of Nalco (manufacturer of Corexit).
Berkshire Hathaway is now the largest shareholder in Nalco. Thanks to Sarah for the head’s up on this.

The gulf will be dead for decades? Not likely.

I chalk this up to arrogance, incompetence and blind political agendas.

The first two started it and the last one (I disagree - it isn't blind) was why it took so long to start cleaning up.

But yeah, the Gulf is already getting back to normal. Shrimpers out there again... Next year, I bet you won't be able to tell this happened.

I believe much of it is blind. And by that I mean without any regard for the long-term economic and even environmental consequences of their actions. Did some of the foot dragging occur on purpose? Certainly. Never let a crisis go to waste, remember? But are they purposely putting thousands of shrimpers out of work so they'll gain more government-dependent Democrat voters? I doubt it. If anything, I think the agenda is to put the oil companies in the same position as the automakers; in need of a government bailout.

Now, in order to achieve their goals, do these politicians give a rat's behind that they're putting shrimpers out of business? Nope.

When the Exxon Valdez spilled all of that oil in Alaska, the enviramental wack-o's said it would be centries before it recovered if it EVER did...two years later I was there and no trace of it ever happening.

We don't give this planet enough credit...the eco-systems are VERY good at correctling themselves when something like this happens. Do we need to maybe clean the beaches and help out where we can, yep...but to say it's dead for decades is just noi true.

Now...did Obammy stall the efforts to stop this and then clean it up...yes, he did. Like you said DAchl, "never let a crisis go to waste"
