    Lol. As you can see from the pic, I haven’t even used mine. But they’re so cheap, there’s no reason not to own one.

    Everything I have read about it say the spike were there for anchoring gear or as a makeshift grapple.

    One of the advertised uses were to use those as fishing weights to accompany the fishing line that is stored inside the handle.
