They may have had another target in mind and were setting up to do that when the guy got pissed and said time for a change of plans we are going to kill those s$#@! I work with.

    From MSN above...

Officials said they were unclear what set off the attack, given that the target was a group of Mr. Farook’s co-workers with the county health department. They say it may have also involved grievances against them.

“You don’t take your wife to a workplace shooting, and especially not as prepared as they were,” said a senior law enforcement official briefed on the investigation. “He could have been radicalized, ready to go with some type of attack, and then had a dispute at work and decided to do something.”

I heard leaders on both sides mention mental health this morning. That would be a good thing.
Not really... All the talk about mental health and guns has nothing to do with advancing the treatment and prevention of mental health issues; it's about prohibiting more people from owning firearms. Anti-gun folks love the idea of being able to administratively deny people's right to own a firearm.

[h=1]F.B.I. Treats San Bernardino Attack as Possible Terrorism Case[/h]"The suspects fired 65 to 75 rifle rounds inside the center, leaving behind four spent high-capacity magazines. Cornered after a chase, “the suspects are believed to have fired 76 rifle rounds at the officers,” said Jarrod Burguan, the San Bernardino police chief. In the shootout with 23 officers from seven different agencies, he said, “Law enforcement fired approximately 380 rounds at the suspects.”

"The suspects were armed with two .223-caliber assault rifles and two 9-mm semiautomatic pistols, and they left behind at the service center an explosive that did not detonate, made of three pipe bombs, Chief Burguan said. In a rented Ford Expedition, he said, the couple had 1,400 rounds for the rifles and 200 for the handguns with them at the time of the shootout. And at the home where they apparently lived in the nearby city of Redlands, officers found more than 2,500 rounds for the assault rifles, more than 2,000 for the pistols, several hundred rounds for a .22-caliber rifle, and 12 pipe bombs. There were also supplies for making more of them."

So, if they were changing out high(standard)-capacity mags that means the rifles were illegal under California law, correct?

Not only were the rifles illegal in CA but the "high cap" magazines were as well. And if rifles were legal, they require to have the bullet button installed. Which makes it so you can't eject a mag with your finger.

Huh? 1400 rounds would have took 47 mags. That's $470 in mags not counting the mags they dropped. Why did they just count the mags dropped?

It cost about $4000+ to fund the shooting including babysitting funds and go pros. Another $40-$50 ish grand for a suv.

    My oh my.

Arrrgh! I just heard a talking head who I used to think was OK retell the myth that they had body armor.

The SBPD chief himself said in his afternoon press conference today that they did not, but were simply
    wearing tac vests.

If these so-called experts can't keep up they should be banned! Somebody start a spreadsheet!
