From the article, someone explain this. I thought it was already required:

"Manchin and Toomey led an effort in 2013, which would have required background checks on all commercial sales of guns. It fell five votes short in the Senate."

Maybe they wanted to close the “LTC Loophole”.

Probably just uninformed journalist syndrome though.

This is almost certainly talking about SB 11 after Sandy Hook
It was , in part, a UBC requirement

An intentional law isn't really a loophole, is it?

If the law required a background check to purchase fewer than 3 guns, and a background check and a wait to buy more than 3 guns, then they unintentionally created a loophole.

    Right?

    It was sarcasm.

WTH, you mean background checks are NOT required? And I thought after all these years they were...WOW!

TO be honest I really look forward to this as other than "common sense" guns laws (which I have NO FRIGGIN idea what that is) and Background checks (which I thought we were doing) I gots no idea of what they want other than what the want they will not say (except Beto)! I still think and believe their end goal is ZERO guns in the hands of the common everyday American. But gun ownership will still be available to the Hollywood elite and their bodyguards, high ranking Politico's, the uber-rich Billionaires and LEO's (I have very little faith in CITY police that they will stand on our side, they are UNION and the Union is not on our side).

Lets hope they expose the TRUTH and join in with BETO, some already have...

Anybody who thinks police and other LEAs will be on our side hasn't learned from history, and should at least read Unintended Consequences.
Concur, the city/unionized police are bought and paid for by unions and the Feds, they will comply with what they are told to do. You can see this on TV near daily with COP not enforcing or support ICE and sanctuary cities and not arresting people.
