I’ve noticed the water has been tasting funny and about a month ago I installed a whole home water filer with a 5 micron filter after my home water softener. Today when I was in the garage I noticed its color and some type of blob at the bottom. Is this normal? Should I call SAWS? The internet searches suggest it could be iron bacteria. ‍

    What do you guys think?
Should I look for a place to send it off for testing?

By the way, after the filter has been installed I don't notice the odd taste anymore and it smells better.
