45 Colt was NEVER meant to be chambered in rifles.(must be a modern concept)

44WCF was what John Browning envisioned as the rifle equivalent of the 45 COLT so the cartridge could be reliably extracted.

The 45 COLT rim was/is TOO small to be considered for reliable extraction from anything except the Colt Revolver.

Later, the rim diameter was increased a bit but I still think Browning was correct that the 45 Colt is NOT a rifle round!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Modern machining might get it to work but I am NOT convinced.

I love my old Interarms Rossi 92 in .357/38 Special but my hundred year old Winchester '92s in WCF44 and WCF38 rifles will be my 'go-to' for Revolver/Rifle ammo compatibility.

Just my opinion.(maybe the 'purist' in me?)
