What's the difference between the two ranges? I've never been to either.
Bexar - you pay at the front, drive down to the rifle or pistol range - self policed - no RO's. Fixed pistol firing line - you can put your targets up however far you want.
Dietz - you pay at the front, watch your ass on the pistol range (first shooter down sets the distance to the targets) and they have active RO's.

Both are fine. I got yelled out at Diets for stuffing a mag in a pistol before I was at the firing line - which was all on me. I've never had a problem at Bexar. You ask other shooters for a cold range and they open and drop their guns in a reasonable time.

I bought a Long Ez. It's a little experimental two seater. Fast little bugger with some gentleman's aerobatics abilities.

I would of gotten a 757 Mark but the parts are hard to come by since the ceased production.

    Ahem! Shooting Gentlemen!!!

(can I contribute to the thread-jack of my own thread?)
OOOOH - I LOVE to fly in small planes. Years ago a good friend bought a Piper Cherokee and flew three of us up to Colorado to go on a week long hike in the mountains. He said in his TX drawl "I'd rather eat a bug than fly on a commercial jet." lol. You can just see so much more at 10k ft than 30k feet.
