    Winchester 62 FTW.
This one dad bought round 1955.
Countless thousands of rounds fired S,L,LR. Still spot on accurate. Shot it NYE with a couple friends instead of fireworks we popped off some rounds.

Not sure what Dad paid seems he said like 35 dollars. Last couple I have seem for sale were in the 700-800 range.

No amount could buy this one.

Thanks for all the information so far, I'm beginning my research. Anyone want to make it easy on me and just sell me one?

    Big Green,

PITY that you are so far from SATX, as tomorrow & Sunday the SAXET GUN SHOW will be at the SAN ANTONIO EVENTS CENTER & virtually every month I see at least 2-3 Remington Model 572 rifles for sale, at reasonable prices, there.
(Last month, one of my neighbors bought an over 20YO but MINT Model 572 pump with several boxes of .22LR ammo for 250.ooOTD.)

    yours, satx

I see where Rossi has come out with a new gallery 22 Pump for less than $300 new with poly furniture.

I thought we gave him enough suggestions to fill up a cabinet by now.

    KJQ6945,

FYI, what I would LOVE to find/buy is one of the old-school WINCHESTER PUMP so-called "GALLERY GUNS" in .22 short like used to be fired at The Dallas Fair. = IMO, that would be "the deal" for "sniping bushytails" in the ribcage out to 25M or so.
(I cook the heads in stew, so I do not shoot them in the head. - There's VERY LITTLE meat on squirrel ribs.)

note: More than a few times, I "limited out" on bushytails, while sitting under the same "hicker-nut" tree.
(Squirrel hunting is said to be "the major religion in NETX".)

Your dream is real sir. But, there’s a problem. Generally, the bores are pretty bad on the 100 year old guns that I can afford, and I’m old enough that I need glass to snipe anything.

How long of a barrel do you want? Do you want an exposed hammer?
Most importantly, how much are you looking to spend?
