I'll second that. The disc chargers work really well for me too for most pistol rounds. I've got a Lyman manual powder dump I use for my rifle rounds and magnum pistol rounds.IMHO... the Lee disc powder dispenser is great. The "new" drum gadget isn't worth my time trying to make it work.
I have 4 of the disc type, and they all work well. Now, these are for "pistol" type charges...
Up to around 12 or so grains depending on the powder you use.

I agree, with different types of powder (flake, ball) it will meter differently, but for general reloading, it works just fine for me. From .380 up to .45 colt.I'm not familiar with the Lee system but most dispensers have given more variance than I liked as the level of powder changes in the dispenser.
