A USPS mail worker guilty of stealing mail including tickets, gift cards, etc. was given a plea deal and received 2 years probation for crimes that carried penalities of multiple years of imprisonment plus fines.

I love the Jewett post office. While in Houston I was closest to Astro Main. If ever there was an example of protracted union postal workers that was the place. If I had any thing important to mail I'd go to West University.

If a citizen stole or tampered with mail it would be a felony yet an employee gets probation. Probably will be eligible for a pension from the Post Office.
