It was a strange situation but I would always return something if the owner was apparent.Well, my curiosity is certainly aroused!
But knowingly having a piece of police equipment (even if it's lost) and not returning it is the same as having a personal item of someone and not giving it back to them. How would you feel if it was something you had lost and the person who found it had the same mindset?
Glad to hear you returned it. That's simply good karma...
Craigslist is better. You should of pawned it.
What could go wrong?
I also worked around calling any office number directly to help avoid somebody getting in trouble for losing it.Whatever it was, and who's ever it was, glad you turned it in. Why keep it? No sense being a tool just for the sake of being a tool. Karma, and all.
Technically the term is 9 "points" of the law.Maybe ya'll can help me out. As a child we all said "Finders Keepers Losers Weepers and possession is 9 tenths of the law." But where and when was Finders Keepers codified?
